Atlantic City Debuts Meet AC

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey — Atlantic City has reorganized its tourism promotion efforts and created a new entity, Meet AC, to handle leisure group tourism and convention marketing.

Meet AC is a private, non-profit sales organization funded by the city’s Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). It takes the place of the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority (ACCVA), which was merged into the CRDA by the New Jersey legislature. The CRDA will retain some of the former responsibilities of the CVA, while the new Meet AC will focus exclusively on attracting group tourism and conventions to Atlantic City.

Meet AC is lead by CEO James Wood, who previously served as the CEO of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau in Kentucky and the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau in Rhode Island.

Group leaders interested in organizing travel to Atlantic City should contact Heather Colache, Meet AC’s national tourism sales manager, at 609-449-7151 or hcolache@meetinac.com.
