SALEM, Ohio — Groups are always asking for new destinations, and the Peoria Convention and Visitors Bureau is finding a novel way to provide travel planners with unique destination information. “Kacie’s Places to Play in Peoria” began last fall as a travelogue of sorts, featuring points of interest for groups in and around Peoria.
The short and entertaining videos have become a hit with group leaders in great part because of the relationship that the CVB has developed with the group travel industry. Peoria has a dedicated marketing program with groups that takes their destination messages directly to travel planners at Select Traveler, Boomers in Groups, Going On Faith and Small Market Meetings conferences.
“Kacie’s Places to Play in Peoria” is featured on The Group Travel Family YouTube channel, and is broadcast to more than 25,000 group leaders, meeting planners and travel agents by way of the organization’s direct email system.
