WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina — Winston-Salem has been selected to host the Travel South USA’s Travel South Showcase, March 3-9, 2016. This trade show will bring more than 600 delegates to the city.
“The value of hosting Travel South is the opportunity to literally showcase our destination to key buyers of group tour vacations,” said Richard Geiger, president of Visit Winston-Salem.
Visit Winston-Salem is co-hosting this prestigious travel industry conference with the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Tourism, Film and Sports Development, at the Benton Convention Center and Winston-Salem’s Twin City Quarter hotels, the downtown Winston-Salem Marriott and Embassy Suites.
“We are thrilled to work with Winston-Salem to bring this prestigious travel trade show to our state,” said Wit Tuttle, director of marketing for the North Carolina Department of Commerce. “Tourism is an $18.5 billion business in North Carolina, and Travel South will allow thousands of travel professionals to get a firsthand experience of visiting North Carolina.”
