Wake up to a multitude of birdcalls on a trip exploring the diverse wildlife and geography of Costa Rica. On Intrepid Travel’s “Costa Rica Express” tour, guests will explore the preserved wildness of the Central American country, including treks seeking sightings of some of the country’s abundant wildlife.
Participants start in San Jose with walks down the capital’s colonial streets for shopping and other leisure time. From there, groups will explore the bleak, sweeping landscape surrounding the Arenal Volcano. To relax, guests can also bath in the area’s thermal springs.
The steamy Monteverde cloud forest will introduce visitors to unusual species of flora and fauna in the area that attracts a curious mixture of wildlife. More wildlife will appear on the tour’s sojourn into Manuel Antonio National Park and it’s sandy beaches, tropical vegetation and turquoise waters. When not enjoying the picturesque beaches, guides will help groups to spy animals including armadillos, sloths and colorful birds.
