The life-size Noah’s Ark at the Ark Encounter allows you to experience part of biblical history in a huge way. The Ark was built to the biblical dimensions and measures a whopping 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high. This massive structure is an engineering marvel, but its imposing size is only the beginning as a world of wonder awaits inside.
How could all the animals have fit inside one ship? How could Noah have cared for them all? How did Noah even build a ship this size? We dig into these questions and more throughout the entire Ark and present logical solutions to the common questions that surround the Genesis account of the worldwide flood. The three decks composing the Ark’s interior feature engaging exhibits that discuss not only the ship itself but changes to the earth that occurred because of the flood, such as geological and climate changes.
Outside the Ark, there is so much to see and do—much of it included in your admission! Our Ararat Ridge Zoo features common and uncommon animals—including a zorse and zonkey—and our Kangaroo Walkabout allows guests the opportunity to get up close with our red kangaroos and wallabies during select times. A children’s zoo and Keeper Chats also allow guests to learn more about our amazing animals. And we have a beautiful, Italian-made carousel that features animals resembling those found in the Ark. The floor-level entry to the carousel allows guests young and old to enjoy this stunning ride.
Trails and gardens provide the perfect place to take a stroll or stop and rest while enjoying a beautiful variety of plants. And an accessible playground provides all children with space to burn off their energy and enjoy sensory experiences and a rainbow maze.
