YORK, S.C. — York County’s newest attraction, Inman Farms, was introduced during the 2nd Annual York County Ag + Art Tour June 8-9.
The farm, which has been in the Inman family since 1893, features the Market at Inman Farms, where local farmers and artisans sell produce, arts, crafts and other hand-made items from spring through December.
Once a working farm, Inman Farms is home to a vintage 1951 peach packing shed; guided tours by historical interpreters will be provided during prescheduled and special programs.
Visitors can also tour the homestead, an Italian-style villa built in the 1850s, and hear stories about the life of tenant farmer Amelia Wylie and cook Mary Wylie.
The York County Ag + Art Tour is a self-guided tour that links agricultural aspects of the county with an art component, including potters, quilters, musicians, storytellers, jewelers and painters.
