Military reunion planners join forces with GLAMER

SALEM, Ohio — The Alliance of Military Reunions and Group Leaders of America (GLAMER) will work together to bring the travel industry in touch with the expanding market of planners of military reunions and gatherings.

The Alliance of Military Reunions, which was founded in 2009 at the direction of military reunion planner Louis “Skip” Sander, is growing and counts more than 400 military reunion planner members.

The alliance holds educational gatherings across the country and has a strong focus on information, training and networking among its members.

Alliance members will be invited to attend GLAMER Chapter Meetings to work with the travel vendors at each meeting as well as participate in GLAMER educational workshops.

“We welcome military reunion planners to GLAMER and know that the travel industry will enjoy learning about this great segment of the group market,” said Charlie Presley of GLAMER.

GLAMER will also encourage its members who have military reunions to join the Alliance of Military Reunions.

“The alliance exists to help military planners build better reunions, and having a relationship with GLAMER will assist both organizations in that goal,” said Sander.

“GLAMER and the Alliance of Military Reunions believe their members drive the group travel industry, and by working together we will increase our members knowledge to build better reunions and tours,” said Presley.
