JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Bank Travel Exchange met in Jefferson City May 7 to 8 with 20 directors of bank travel and loyalty programs in attendance. The event was sponsored by the Missouri Travel Council and organized by Donna Cordel Gray.
BankTravel kicked off the opening seminar with results from research on bank loyalty programs conducted by Kent State University and funded by Norwegian Cruise Line.
Bankers in attendance heard firsthand from Charlie Presley of BankTravel about the purpose and goals of the research.
“We engaged in discussion as a group and touched on what the research gave to banks, as well as possible direction of future research,” said Presley.
The project was spearheaded by BankTravel to give existing bank-loyalty program directors a benchmark to evaluate their programs, as well as to act as a whitepaper for financial institutions interested in developing loyalty programs.
It is part of a three-year commitment by BankTravel and Norwegian Cruise Line.
Complete research details were published by Kent State University in June. To receive a copy or request a presentation on the project by BankTravel, send an email to tburton@grouptravelfamily.com.
