New Select Traveler magazine launches in January

“Our longtime bank travel program readers will receive Select Traveler in January just as they have Bank Travel Management,” said Lacy. “And it will still be full of very helpful information about managing their bank programs. In fact, many of the improvements they see will be a direct result of the comments we received during our readership review at the BankTravel Conference in Virginia Beach last February.

“At the same time, we are thrilled to be writing as well for chambers and alumni associations across America that have become dynamic travel producers as well,” said Lacy. “They deserve a magazine that addresses their role as travel influencers, and we are the company that can deliver that to them.”

The Group Travel Leader Inc.’s executive editor, Brian Jewell, who addressed delegates at that conference regarding the evolution he sees in how groups are traveling, is excited about the opportunity to expand the magazine’s reach. He sees not only improvement in the magazine’s coverage of key issues and trends for bank travel directors, but also benefits to them in addressing similar issues that confront chamber and alumni travel planners as well.

“Bank travel directors have counted on our magazine to give them business ideas and travel tips for a long time,” Jewell said. “We’re going to continue offering this great information for them and also expand our scope to address some of the key subjects and strategies that will help alumni and chamber of commerce travel planners build successful programs. And as always, we will continue writing inspiring feature stories to generate destination ideas for all of our readers.”
