We asked our staff, “Which Frank Lloyd Wright site would you love to visit?” Find out which of his Usonian builds are on our travel bucket lists in this month’s Staff Sound-Off.
Fallingwater!
— Telisa Rech, Advertising Sales Manager
Fallingwater, because of the intentional way it is immersed in its natural surroundings, a powerful testament to how architecture and nature can co-exist.
— Ashley DeLucia, Advertising Sales Manager
I would love to see the Robie House in Chicago! Chicago is my favorite city to visit.
— Brady Wine, Sales Coordinator
I have been to a lot of Frank Lloyd Wright’s sites over the years, but I have actually never visited Taliesin, the home, studio and school he designed for himself in rural Wisconsin. Seeing the place where he chose to live would be a cool way to connect with one of the most visionary and creative minds of the 20th century.
— Brian Jewell, CEO & Executive Editor
Definitely Fallingwater. I love when architecture harmonizes with natural beauty. A close second is the Hollyhock House in L.A. because of the stained glass.
— Rachel Crick, Associate Editor & Project Manager
Any in California or Arizona, but Fallingwater in Pennsylvania, with its waterfalls, would be cool to visit.
— Sarah Sechrist, Controller
Fallingwater is on my list. I’ve been wanting to see it for years.
— Donia Simmons, Creative Director
For my birthday in 2022, my husband and I did a trip to Pennsylvania to see Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and Polymath Park. It was an amazing trip, so I would love to do a similar itinerary that covers the nine sites on the Wisconsin trail or the 13 on Illinois’ trail.
