We asked our staff “What’s one of the world’s wonders that you’re dying to see?” Find out which wonders are on our bucket lists in this month’s Staff Sound-Off.
I’d like to see the Northern Lights. We went to Iceland in November 2022 and thought we’d see them, but it didn’t happen. We’re hoping to see them on on our trip to Finland, but celestial phenomena don’t operate on schedules. Honestly, Iceland was amazing without them, and I feel certain Finland would be, too.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. Doesn’t matter if it’s Northern Michigan, Canada, Greenland or Iceland. I’d travel to any of those to see them.
— Sarah Sechrist, Controller
If we’re talking about natural wonders of the world, I’d love to see the Northern Lights. If we’re talking about manmade wonders, probably the Colosseum in Rome.
— Rachel Crick, Staff Writer
The pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. There are so many places I want to see, but that is on the top of my list.
— Donia Simmons, Creative Director
I really want to see the pyramids one day.
— Kyle Anderson, VP, Sales & Marketing
The Taj Mahal
— Ashley Ricks, Graphic Designer & Circulation Manager
I have been fortunate to see a lot of the world’s wonders, but one I would love to visit is Stonehenge.
