Fall Film Festival
In the geographical and cultural center of the state, Indianapolis, fall brings a chance to revel in the arts during the Heartland Film Festival. This 10-day festival will take place this year Oct. 17-26, and will mark the event’s 22nd anniversary.
The purpose of the festival is to inspire budding filmmakers and audiences through the screening of new, independent films. Screenings take place at venues around the city, and many feature appearances by directors and other programming designed to encourage interaction between filmmakers and their audiences.
The festival features a variety of films from around the world, and awards cash prizes to the winners in a number of different categories. Groups can make evening film screenings a part of an itinerary that includes other attractions in and around Indianapolis.
