A Day in Coeur d’Alene

A quick road trip east of Spokane will bring the traveler to the handsome community of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, as well as the storied body of water from which it gets its name. Included among the list of the “five most beautiful lakes in the world” compiled by National Geographic, sky-blue Lake Coeur d’Alene is surrounded by mountains and forests teeming with wildlife.

Nearby is an extensive marina with services for recreational boaters, as well as scheduled sightseeing, brunch and dinner cruises on the lake.

The town boasts the world-class Coeur d’Alene Resort, complete with 18 floors of luxury accommodations, as well as extensive facilities for aficionadas of golf, tennis, cycling and fine dining.
