SALEM, Ohio — Everybody wants to party at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and it seems like delegates at Boomers in Groups’ BiG Travel Weekend will be doing just that.
“We are going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night for a BiG party,” said Joe Cappuzzello of Boomers in Groups.
BiG is an organization of baby boomers who plan group travel and will host an invited network of 100 boomer travel groups at their annual gathering, appropriately named BiG Travel Weekend.
The BiG Travel Weekend is somewhat nontraditional compared with other travel industry events. It focuses on the emerging boomer market and draws a younger crowd. It takes place on a weekend so boomers who work can attend. And according to Cappuzzello, it has a pretty relaxed environment.
“The BiG Travel Weekend brings together 100 travel groups with the travel industry to grow destination knowledge, network together and have a lot of fun,” he said.
Boomers attending past BiG Travel Weekends have reported building new travel industry relationships that have resulted in new trips. This year’s gathering will be held at the Embassy Suites in Cleveland on Nov. 15-17. Boomers are invited to register by contacting Teresa Burton at 800-628-0993 or tburton@grouptravelfamily.com. Registration online is at www.boomersingroups.com.
