SALEM, Ohio — The travel industry is looking for boomer groups, and they can find them in November at Boomers in Groups in Cleveland.
Boomers in Groups has announced the BiG Weekend, November 15-17. The event will feature a party at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Boomers who lead travel groups will attend from more than 20 states for what has become the most happening event in group travel.
“We kind of broke the mold at BiG,” said The Group Travel Family’s Tammy Knox.
The weekend features city sightseeing, “elevator pitch” presentations, pizza discussions, a little rock ’n’ roll and even a “diamond drop” contest, where one travel planner will win a beautiful diamond.
It is even rumored that Parker Phinney, the Dartmouth College student who struggled for 10 years to set the Guinness World Record for longest Barrel of Monkey chain, might make an appearance and a presentation.
