SALEM, Ohio — The first ever research project on the impact of travel clubs on banks and financial institutions has been completed and is available to banks and the interested travel industry nationwide.
The three-year endeavor was funded by Norwegian Cruise Line using the outreach of the Select Traveler Conference, which is the national organization of bank travel program directors. The research was conducted by Kent State University in Ohio.
Research focused on the value that bank depositors have on the financial institution as a direct result of travel and the loyalty bond that was generated to the bank.
“This research was requested by our members because of their need for whitepaper evidence that travel clubs build depositor loyalty,” said Charlie Presley of Select Traveler.
Kent State University was chosen to conduct all-blind research to validate results and eliminate any possible preconceived thoughts.
