SALEM, Ohio — Tourism is coming to the National Rural Economic Developers Association Convention, NREDA, this year as Charlie Presley presents agritourism to the attending delegates. Presley is founder of The Group Travel Family and its sister organization, AgritourismWorld.
AgritourismWorld is an organization of 3,000 farms and markets that welcome group tours. It operates an online marketplace featuring its farm and market members and is promoted to 25,000 travel groups and clubs.
NREDA is the national voice for rural economic development and uses its annual convention for networking and education.
“I look forward to bringing the tourism word to NREDA members,” Presley said. “Agritoursim is a growing market that allows the rural economy to develop new destinations for group tours and acts as a cash crop for the farms and markets.”
