Presley presents research results to Midwest bankers

DES MOINES, Iowa — BankTravel partner Charlie Presley addressed 20 directors of bank loyalty programs at the Midwest Bank Meet in Des Moines in April about research being performed by Kent State University (KSU) on bank loyalty programs and their value to financial institutions.

The gathering, led by Jane Pugh of First Dakota Bank in Yankton, S.D., provides educational programs for directors of bank loyalty and travel programs and provides them networking opportunities.

The KSU effort is designed to provide a benchmark for evaluation of existing loyalty programs as well as serve as a whitepaper for banks interested in developing travel and loyalty programs. Presley presented results in 23 categories related to the research, which was spearheaded by BankTravel and underwritten by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).

The complete KSU research paper will be made available free of charge to interested banks as well as the travel industry.

“I thank NCL for funding this much needed research, the first in the area of bank travel and loyalty programs,” said Presley.
