Blessed Byways, a veteran travel planning organization managed by Burdell and Charlotte Hensley based in Oskaloosa, Iowa, worked with Carol Glessner of Country Coach Adventures recently to bring a group to Virginia Beach for the longstanding Virginia International Tattoo, held June 3 – 6. The Tattoo, normally held each April, was moved to June for 2021 only. The cast featured more than 400 performers, including military bands, bagpipes, drummers, dancers and others.
The Blessed Byways group enjoyed oceanfront accommodations along the iconic Virginia Beach boardwalk. In addition to touring in Virginia Beach, the group enjoyed stops in Norfolk and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Jim Coggin, tourism sales manager for the Virginia Beach CVB, was happy to greet the group personally and welcome them to the Virginia International Tattoo.
