Old Frankfort Pike between Lexington and Frankfort, Kentucky, is one of the best.

My favorite scenic drive has to be Old Frankfort Pike right here in my hometown. The horse farms, dry stone fences and wildlife make it a quintessential Kentucky drive.
— Rachel Crick, Associate Editor & Project Manager
To be honest, the back roads around Lexington’s horse farms in the fall. You cannot get more beautiful than that. We are blessed to live in such beauty every day!
— Donia Simmons, Creative Director
I live in the country in Kentucky and commute into Lexington, so I love driving back roads and sometimes taking my camera gear. When the weather is nice during the spring and summer, I enjoy taking the extra time to drive down Old Richmond Road past all the horse farms and cross the one-lane bridge over the Kentucky River. If I really have some free time, though, I’ll go the roundabout-way and drive over to take the Valley View Ferry across the river then drive past all the pretty little farms and creeks in northern Madison County.
— Ashley Ricks, Print & Digital Publishing Manager
I have never seen more stunning scenery on a drive than on the Pacific Coast Highway between Los Angeles and Monterey, California. My brother and I did that on spring break in 2003. That trip is one of my favorite memories from college.
— Brian Jewell, VP & Executive Editor
Just scenic, it’s sentimental. As the highway narrows and the hills start folding in around you, something shifts, like the landscape is exhaling. The grass seems a little softer, the trees a little taller, and even the curves in the road feel familiar, like they’re welcoming you back without saying a word. That drive doesn’t just take me home — it reminds me where my roots are, every single time.
— Ashley DeLucia, Advertising Sales Manager
My favorite scenic drive is River Road in Louisville, Kentucky. The sunsets are unbelievable!
