SALEM, Ohio — Group travel planners will be resting easy at a number of travel conferences this year thanks to Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. Cracker Barrel, a favorite of travel groups, will sponsor Cracker Barrel Rest Stops for delegates’ comfort at the Going On Faith Conference, the Boomers in Groups Conference, the Select Traveler Conference and the African American Travel Conference.
“Groups have come to recognize the rocking chairs on Cracker Barrel porches as representative of great hospitality, and we are pleased that Cracker Barrel is bringing rocking chairs and hospitality to our delegates,” said Joe Cappuzzello of The Group Travel Family.
Cracker Barrel has become a well-known and trusted meal stop for groups nationwide. Its combination of comfort food, efficient group service, easy motorcoach parking and an unusual country store has added up to a successful brand groups have embraced.
Many groups consider Cracker Barrel as a mini-destination and shopping stop, according to research of group travel habits by The Group Travel Family.
“Cracker Barrel is more than a meal stop; they are also a unique shopping trip into the past,” Cappuzzello said.
While Cracker Barrel is providing rest stops to groups attending the four conferences mentioned above, groups nationwide will be kept informed of the benefits of visiting the combination restaurant/shopping destination by receiving monthly informative emails from Cracker Barrel. The emails will be delivered to 11,000 group travel leaders and more than 1,000 travel agents that plan group travel through The Group Travel Family.
Cracker Barrel welcomes groups to more than 600 locations in 42 states. Groups can call 800-576-7693 or visit www.crackerbarrel.com/tourgroups.
