Join Us for a Trip to Georgia in March

Are you looking to expand your knowledge of Georgia’s travel destinations and have a great time doing it? Do you have a few days to see the state firsthand in March? Would you like to spend a few days with executive staff of The Group Travel Leader magazine while you’re at it?

If so, we have just the opportunity for you.

The Tourism Division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development is inviting up to 20 of our travel planner readers to enjoy a four-day site inspection trip in its Presidential Pathways region March 13-16. Qualified travel planners will be guests of the Georgia tourism staff and will enjoy a self-guided tour in Atlanta and escorted travel to parts of the state’s Presidential Pathways region featuring LaGrange, Warm Springs and Columbus.

And once you get to Atlanta, all your expenses are covered.

“Join The Group Travel Leader’s executive editor, Brian Jewell, and Kelly Tyner, our director of marketing and sales, for this fun and educational site inspection trip in and around Georgia’s scenic Presidential Pathways region,” said publisher Mac Lacy. “Brian and Kelly will accompany our Georgia hosts on this trip and will be sharing their travel experiences with everyone in attendance.

“Brian and Kelly will be highlighting their trips as they go through our social media department, and Brian will write a feature-length article on this tour for publication in The Group Travel Leader magazine,” said Lacy. “Tour participants will have the opportunity to share their impressions and experiences about Georgia with our staff and meet some wonderful hosts from the state. It’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone involved.”

Tour highlights include downtown sightseeing passes for Atlanta’s world-class attractions like the World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium and Olympic Park; LaGrange’s Antiquities Tour and Biblical Meal Experience, and Hills and Dales, and Bellevue Plantation tours; President Roosevelt’s Little White House in Warm Springs; the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center, the National Civil War Museum, and whitewater course and zip-line viewing in scenic Columbus; and the Rock Ranch, an acclaimed retreat built by Chick fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy.

This official readership event is for planners only; sorry, but spouses may not attend. All accommodations, sightseeing, transportation and meals are included once participants arrive in Atlanta. No travel expenses to and from Atlanta will be reimbursed.

This readership event and site inspection tour is limited to 20 qualified travel planners. Participants will complete a brief travel profile that will be used by Georgia tourism staff to select attendees.

Registration for this complimentary site inspection trip in Georgia closes December 15, so don’t delay.
