Partnership between Mayflower Tours and Tourism Cares Promotes National Parks Centennial

DOWNERS GROVE, Illinois – Mayflower Tours has partnered with Tourism Cares and the National Park Service to help celebrate the National Parks’ 100th anniversary in 2016. The tour operator will aid the commemoration with financial investments, volunteerism and advocacy for the national parks.

“Tourism Cares also recognized the impact of this, and since Tourism Cares is heavily interested in the parks, they came up with the idea to make contributions through tour operators who bring people to the parks,” said Mike Rea, CEO and President of Tourism Cares.

Mayflower Tours will donate $5 per person for every National Park visited on a Mayflower Tours trip. So a tour visiting four National Parks would equal $20 in donations for every person on the tour.

The tour operator also dedicated space in their 2015 – 2016 Holidays by Motorcoach brochure and the 2016 North America Air Holidays brochure that prominently details the Centennial, the donation and an index to Mayflower Tours trips that stop in National Parks.

In 2016, Mayflower Tours will feature 17 trips that explore National Parks. For more information, visit www.mayflowertours.com.
