SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Greater Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau has promoted Alicia Szenda as director of sales. Szenda joined the bureau in 2006 as group sales manager. She will coordinate group tour activities in Springfield.

SEA ISLAND, Ga. – Rick Riess was named managing director of Sea Island, a resort on Georgia’s Golden Isles. Riess previously served as chief operating officer and founding partner of Auberge Resorts, whose properties include Napa Valley, Calif.’s Auberge du Soleil.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin CVB appointed Steve Genovesi as senior vice president of sales. Genovesi comes with 26 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience, including his most recent post as vice president of sales and marketing for the Chattanooga CVB.

PARK CITY, Utah – Rocky Mountain Connections, a destination management company, has hired Michelle Cunningham as director of operations for its Park City/Salt Lake City division in Utah. Cunningham served as the director of operations with Global Events Partners in Salt Lake City before joining Rocky Mountain Connections.
