“Hacking” into the Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art doesn’t run or allow any official behind-the-scenes tours because of security risks, so the best way to dive into what goes on behind closed doors is more figurative than literal.
A new team pioneering “disruptor”-style tour experiences, Museum Hack, has found a way to bring the workings of the museum alive for small groups of guests looking for a VIP experience by allowing former museum employees to share stories of the inner workings of both the Met and the American Museum of Natural History.
VIP tours on Friday and Saturday nights offer visitors a Night at the Museum experience with special guests, refreshments and surprises.
