VICKSBURG, Mississippi — The Mississippi Tourism Association (MTA) has recognized The Group Travel Leader for its feature on Mississippi in the 50th anniversary Travel South Tour Planner.

The Travel Media award for a Travel Trade Publication was announced at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism at the Vicksburg Convention Center in late September.

The article highlighted Mississippi events and culinary offerings.

“Special recognition should be given for their outstanding accomplishments. We are happy to have the opportunity to honor the winner of this award as we truly appreciate their dedication not only to our organization but to the entire tourism industry,” said Kappi Allen, president of MTA.

Awards were presented in 18 categories, each focusing on a different aspect of the hospitality industry or individual achievement.
