WASHINGTON — The American Bus Association (ABA) has named the July 21-24 commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War’s First Battle of Manassas as the top U.S. event for motorcoach groups.
The ABA tabbed Montreal Botanical Garden’s the Magic of Lanterns, an annual display of more than 700 handcrafted lanterns in the Chinese Garden, Sept. 9-Oct. 30, as the top Canadian event for 2011.
The designations lead ABA’s annual list of 100 Top Events for North America published annually in conjunction with the September/October issue of the association’s Destinations magazine.
Although the TOP 100 Events are not ranked, ABA does highlight both a top U.S. and top Canadian event.
