SALEM, Ohio — Agritourism is about to enter the group travel market when the inaugural AgritourismWorld Summit premieres in Little Rock, Arkansas, November 7-9. This marks the first time that farms and markets have been introduced to the group travel industry on a national scope.
AgritourismWorld is the nation’s leading organization that promotes visits to farms, markets and agriculture-related events to travel groups. AgritourismWorld counts more than 2,500 member farms and markets registered on its website, which helps groups find agritourism destinations to visit.
The development of the AgritourismWorld Summit highlights a relationship with the Boomers in Groups Conference, also being held in Little Rock. In the relationship, AgritourismWorld will use some of the Boomers in Groups Conference footprint, as well as gain rapid exposure into the group travel market through the association.
“Agritourism is a growing market and extremely important to groups and, in particular, the emerging boomer set,” said Charlie Presley of The Group Travel Family, parent company of both organizations. “We welcome the travel industry involved in agritourism and will offer the tools to build regional as well as statewide group tourism recognition.”
