WASHINGON — The American Bus Association (ABA) has selected Baltimore’s Star-Spangled Spectacular and Quebec City’s International Festival of Military Bands as the top events in North America for 2014 to visit on a motorcoach or with a group.

The events headline ABA’s annual list of Top 100 Events in North America, now in its 33rd year.
The Star-Spangled Spectacular, September 6-16, will mark the bicentennial of the British attack on Fort McHenry that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem that became our National Anthem. The 10-day event will include an international parade of ships on September 10, public tours, fireworks and an air show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

The Quebec City International Festival of Bands, August 19-24, will feature bands from Europe, South America, Asia and Canada performing in 30 free concerts and the four-day Quebec City Military Tattoo.

Group tour professionals on the Top 100 selection committee chose the winners from hundreds of nominated fairs, festivals, parades, exhibits, theaters and shows based on their broad appeal, accessibility to large groups and other criteria.
