Bucket List Itinerary: Experience South Africa in the footsteps of Mandela

A new itinerary allows visitors to immerse themselves in both the culture of South Africa and the legacy of Mandela. The “One Man Can Make A Difference” tour takes groups who love history and admire the former South African president Nelson Mandela to important locations in Mandela’s life and other historic sites.

Divine Tours, a South African specialty travel and tourism company, designed the 150day tour for groups up to 40. Participants will explore Qunu, Mandela’s home; Howick, where he was captured before going to prison; and Robben Island, where Mandela spent 19 years in prison.

“Mr. Mandela is undeniably one of the most revered men that ever lived,” said Errol Meyer, co-founder of Divine Tours. “On this tour, follow the journey of his long road to freedom and visit places of significance to his life. This is also a journey into the hearts of the South African people, their struggles and their victories.”

Groups will also enjoy attractions in Cape Town, such as the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. South Africa’s famous wildlife also make an appearance during stops at the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, the Safari Ostrich Show Farm and the Addo Elephant National Park.

The tour includes a professional guide, land arrangements, accommodations and select meals at restaurants offering culturally authentic cuisine.
