WINDSOR, Ontario — Groups seeking a Las Vegas-style getaway are finding that the trip need be just a few miles north of the border in Windsor, Ontario. Caesars Windsor, where exciting gaming, delicious dining and world-class entertainment live under one roof, has become a popular destination for groups of all types.

Caesars Windsor has developed a strong group market program to establish itself as a first-class tour destination. Conveniently located just minutes from the U.S.–Canadian border, it was named “Best Casino Hotel Resort” in the Detroit region for a record 11 consecutive years by Casino Player Magazine.

“GLAMER groups have been learning about Caesars Windsor at Chapter Meetings this year, and we are hearing reports of satisfied tours and even a few winners at the slots,” said Charlie Presley of GLAMER.

“Caesars Windsor is welcoming travel groups and understands the importance of the group leader.”

An example of the dedication that Caesars is placing on groups is indicated with its hosting of the African American Travel Conference 2014. AATC is the industry’s largest meeting focused on group travel in the African-American community.

Groups visiting Caesars Windsor experience the latest in slot action and a wide variety of table games spread over 100,000 square feet on two floors. However, the exhilaration of a roll of the dice, a spin of the reels and the anticipation of the next hand for a chance to be the next big winner are but a small part of what the destination offers groups.

When hunger strikes, several dining options are available, from a casual meal at the Artist Cafe and Augustus Cafe to an elegant dinner at the signature Neros gourmet steakhouse.

The Market Buffet is one of the most popular choices for groups looking for a wide variety of dishes to choose from. There’s Chinese, Italian, traditional North American favorites, seafood and more — it’s a virtual culinary trip around the globe. Plus there’s a must-see dessert buffet to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth that a group could have.

Caesars Windsor has also garnered a reputation for hosting some of the biggest names in music and entertainment in the Colosseum. The 5,000-seat theater has welcomed Celine Dion, Billy Joel, Chris Rock and Jay Leno, just to name a few.

A great lineup of special events is scheduled in the upcoming months, including a St. Patrick’s Day party and Cinco de Mayo festivities featuring live music, giveaways and food specials. Many group leaders have packaged tours around these festivals.

Caesars Windsor’s 758 guestrooms and suites are in two hotel towers that overlook the manicured trails of the Windsor waterfront and the Detroit cosmopolitan skyline.

World-class amenities include Estetica Day Spa, indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, health club, round-the-clock room service and concierge attention. Group discounts are available.

Groups visiting Caesars Windsor from the local day-trip area take advantage of a specially designed motorcoach lounge equipped with vending machines, washrooms, public telephones and LCD screens listing arrivals and departures.

Upon arrival, groups are welcomed by friendly greeters who provide property and promotion information. Complimentary motorcoach parking is provided at an off-site location.
