Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has purchased 75 acres in southern Belize for the planned development of an eco-friendly cruise destination. The land, called Harvest Caye, is made up of two adjoining islands that had previously been approved for a resort development. NCL plans to invest $50 million in the project.
Holland America Line’s 2014 Europe cruise program will feature eight of the line’s 15 ships and 105 departures of 57 itineraries. From Norway to Turkey, cruises range from seven days to 42 days; they include six new itineraries, seven maiden calls and 17 overnight ports.
