DAVENPORT, Iowa – Guests can peek inside the style, humanitarian work and life of the much-beloved Diana, Prince of Wales, at an upcoming exhibit in Davenport’s Putnam Museum. The traveling exhibit called “Diana, A Celebration,” will run from Sept. 14, 2013 through Jan. 4, 2014.

“The Putnam is honored to be one of the last three places this remarkable exhibit will ever be available to the public,” said Kim Findlay, Putnam president and CEO. “The exhibition gives us an opportunity to be close to the compassion and sense of natural sophistication for which Princess Diana became legendary.”

Visitors can see 150 objects from her life, including her iconic wedding dress and its 25-foot train. Nine galleries display 28 of her designer dresses, family heirlooms, two diamond tiaras, personal mementoes and rare home movies and videos.

The exhibit is on loan from the Althorp Estate in Althorp, Great Britain. Its global tour ends in summer 2014.
