SALEM, Ohio — Eureka Springs, Ark., is reaching out to groups with an awareness campaign that will feature a sponsorship of the Marketplace Kickoff at the Going On Faith Conference in Joplin, Mo., Aug. 24-26.
Going On Faith is the travel industry’s major conference for travel planners for church and religious groups. In its sixth year, Going On Faith brings together hundreds of travel planners with the travel industry.
Eureka Springs will use the Going On Faith Marketplace Kickoff to bring church and religious groups in attendance up to speed on the increasing value of choosing the Arkansas town as a tour destination.
The Eureka Springs Visitors Bureau, whose representatives will spend three days at the conference, is leading the awareness campaign.
Eureka Springs also has developed a useful website that gives groups much needed information. Featured on the website is the prominent banner of Stay, Play, Eat, Discover, which answers questions about why groups can have a good time in Eureka Springs.
Another valuable part of the site is This Week In Eureka Springs, which lists a calendar of current and up coming activities that groups will be interested in.

Eureka Springs features a charming downtown filled with restored Victorian buildings, many of which house a large number of artist studios and galleries. The town of 2,200 is thought to have one of the highest concentrations of art galleries per capita in the nation.
The Ozark Mountain town is also home to the “New Great Passion Play,” the seven-story-tall Christ of the Ozarks statue and the New Holy Land Tour.
And there are no stop lights within the city limits.
