LOS ANGELES — If you want a thrilling new way to see downtown Los Angeles, head to the 72-story U.S. Bank Tower, where you can scoot down a glass slide 1,000 feet above the streets.
A fully enclosed 45-foot glass slide, QUE Skyspace, affixed to the side of the tallest building on the West Coast, opened in June, allowing thrill seekers to slide from the 70th floor to the 69th floor.
The experience is part of a $50 million makeover of the building that includes an open-air observation deck and bar on the top floors.
There also is an interactive video exhibit detailing the history of Los Angeles on the 54th floor.
Views from the complex span the San Fernando Valley to Santa Catalina Island.
