SALEM, Ohio — The group travel industry has an exciting new service option in one of America’s hottest destinations. Word Travels, a new receptive operator, has been founded by Amy Lutz, a veteran of the group travel industry. Many readers of this publication know Lutz and developed relationships with her while she handled receptive services at Ohio Travel Treasures.
“I loved the friendships made at Ohio Travel Treasures and was encouraged to start my own receptive company to focus on the groups that want to visit the Ark Encounter,” Lutz said.
Though Word Travels includes a visit to the Ark Encounter in many of its packages, it offers much more to groups looking for a new and exciting destination in 2022.
“Visiting the ark is special, and it is included in many of our tours,” Lutz said. “However, we do have a selection of great tours where the ark can be included or not; it will be the choice of the group.”
Those choices include an array of group packages that only a local receptive company like Word Travels can deliver. Groups traveling with Word Travels can select from packages like Biblical Proportions, Wonder of Christmas, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Water World, Ark and Amish, National Quartet Convention and a special tour based around Jasper, Indiana, that includes all things Christmas.
“While we base many of our tours on the Ark Encounter, we are more than a faith-based receptive,” Lutz said. “I like to think that we feature an inspirational aspect to every group that visits.”
