Head to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum where you’ll find the new outdoor, educational experience called Liichokoshkomo’ (Chickasaw for “Let’s Play!”) that brings to life diverse stories of the West with interactive fun. Opening in September 2021, the First Americans Museum will showcase state-of-the-art exhibitions in history, culture and art; feature live public and educational programs; a Discovery Center with immersive family-friendly activities; and visitor amenities such as a café and coffee shop, full-service restaurant presenting unique Native inspired cuisine; and a museum store featuring handmade items created by Oklahoma’s premiere Native American artists.
