Peoria introduces Video Travelogue

SALEM, Ohio — What’s happening in Peoria? Lots for groups, and you will be kept up to date on interesting attractions, restaurants, lodging and great reasons to visit Peoria, Illinois, with a fun new idea developed by the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Peoria Area CVB has designed an informative video series, “Kacie’s Places To Play in Peoria,” which might ring a bell with a lot of group travel planners because it features Kacie Osborne, the organization’s tourism manager. Every month, Osborne visits a Peoria-area tourism member that is of interest to group leaders and records a video. The videos are made available to groups nationwide as a fun way to learn of new reasons to put Peoria on your travel schedule.

“Peoria is a great destination, and they have devised a new way to get information out to groups making travel plans,” said Charlie Presley of The Group Travel Family.

“Kacie’s Places To Play in Peoria” will be distributed to 25,000 group travel planners by The Group Travel Family and will be continuously available on The Group Travel Family YouTube Channel.
“Peoria is really hitting a home run on this,” said Tammy Knox of The Group Travel Family. “The videos are fun, informative and just the right length, at a little under three minutes.”

The first edition of “Kacie’s Places To Play in Peoria” was delivered in August and featured a lunch cruise on the Illinois River. Osborne brought a human touch to the interview of captain Alex Greeves of the Spirit of Peoria. She also mentioned that groups could enjoy the Riverfront Market, as well as numerous festivals after cruising on the Spirit of Peoria.
