Visit Clarksville is Riding the Silver Wave

“We were so excited to welcome 3 buses to Clarksville, Tennessee last week from Bilbrey Tours and Mayflower Tours. We learned some important things from these tours. First and most important, people are ready to travel! These people were thrilled to be on the road and traveling.

Second, our attractions and restaurants are ready to welcome guests. They were excited to open their doors to groups and see motorcoaches in their parking lots. They took necessary precautions and I think everyone was happy with the turn out.

After having visitors in town for 4 nights last week, I am very excited about what the rest of 2021 has to bring. I think we are going to see buses moving and happy travelers in our towns. And… if you are looking for a place to visit, know that Clarksville, Tennessee is open and ready to welcome your groups!”

— Frances Manzitto, Visit Clarksville TN

Groups are on the move again as fully two-thirds of Americans 65 and older have been vaccinated and more than 80 percent will be by the start of summer.  By this summer, 45 percent of all our travel planners and tour operators expect to be traveling with their groups again, and by this fall, 76 percent expect to have groups out enjoying America’s destinations.

This submission from our friends at Visit Clarksville TN tells the tale.  Based on our research, planners expect pent-up demand to mean that trips will sell out earlier and many destinations like Clarksville, Tennessee, will see a return of groups.  America’s national parks, wide open western spaces, New England, beaches, rivers and storied towns will all see a resurgence of groups.

Ride the silver wave with us as older Americans celebrate their newfound freedom to travel again!
