SALEM, Ohio — Bank travel clubs are using new technology and communication tools in the world of social networking, such as Facebook and Twitter, to attract baby boomers group travel.
Bank club travel program directors will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the social marketing arena when they attend BankTravel Conference 2011 Feb. 6-8 in Baton Rouge, La. BankTravel is the leading organization designed for the travel club leaders of financial institutions.
Jesse Torres, president of Pan American Bank of Los Angeles, will lead an educational seminar titled the Community Bankers Guide to Social Network Marketing.
Torres, who has spent the last 25 years in community banking, focusing on the areas of information technology and marketing, is an innovator in bringing this new technology to the community banking family.
Torres’ publication on social network marketing was distributed at last year’s conference and created demand to have him address the delegates in person.
“Jesse is a visionary in understanding how community banks can reach boomers with this new technology,” said Joe Cappuzzello of BankTravel.
