Imagine standing where the “shot heard ‘round the world” was fired. Walk in the footsteps of the soldiers who were emboldened by the ideas of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as they forged the way for the freedom of a nation they believed in.

When your group joins Collette on the Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary tour, you see the pages of a history book come alive around you while traveling to iconic and significant destinations that helped shape the United States in the Revolutionary era.

At Collette, tours are designed and guided by people who love to travel. Behind the scenes, there are travel and history lovers weaving momentous sites and landmarks together to bring history alive on tour. Your guides are enthusiastic destination experts who know the ins and outs of this rich history — and they encourage you to bring all your questions.

What to Expect on Tour

Your group will trace the story of the nation’s rise, starting in Boston and making your way down to Washington, D.C. Your days will be filled with enriching and educational experiences that put you in the heart of history, such as a lunch at Fraunces Tavern, the same tavern where George Washington took his men to celebrate the end of the war, and dinner aboard a retired Tall Ship permanently docked at Penn’s Landing.

Downtown Boston

While you enjoy these unique cultural inclusions, you’ll also visit the must-see sites, like the Museum of the American Revolution, Arlington National Cemetery, and the National Mall.

Plus, your group will have the opportunity to see Hamilton on Broadway for a modern telling of American history.
