Milwaukee’s newest developments are now open for business, and we are personally inviting your group to enjoy our city’s latest offerings.
Sports and Entertainment Center
Basketball season is here, and Milwaukee’s brand-new Fiserv Forum is in play. The $500 million sports and entertainment center began hosting top music and comedy acts starting with its August opening. Now, the Milwaukee Bucks have taken the court in Fiserv Forum’s state-of-the art athletic facilities.
We’re saving a premium seat for your group at a Fiserv Forum sports or entertainment event complete with panoramic views. Plus, the arena’s locally-inspired food and beverage offerings put traditional concessions stands to shame.
Return of Milwaukee’s Streetcar
About 60 years after the last ride on the old streetcar system, the city is welcoming back this mode of transportation in its modern form. The highly anticipated Milwaukee streetcar, called “The Hop,” will include free rides for the first year thanks to Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s sponsorship.
The now complete first phase of the streetcar route links the Milwaukee Intermodal Station (and its 1.4 million annual users) with hotels, businesses, and attractions downtown. A second line along Milwaukee’s shores of Lake Michigan is expected in 2019. In the meantime, have Milwaukee Food & City Tours take your group aboard The Hop and make key culinary stops along the way.
New restaurants and bars
Speaking of Milwaukee’s culinary side, the city’s restaurant and bar scene continues to grow and evolve. Dine at new locations such as Glass + Griddle, with its locally sourced food and drink, or Fauntleroy for a different take on French cuisine. Though not a new locale, Rare Steakhouse is featuring a refreshed menu along with private group dining options.
Wash down your meal with brews from beer baron throwback Pabst MKE or the recently opened second location of Milwaukee Brewing Co. Or have some tequila instead at the new Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria.
