We don't need to ask how 2020 went: COVID-19 ravaged the travel industry and all associated. The question now is, what does 2021 hold in store?

When COVID-19 took its toll on travel, The Group Travel Family decided to look to the future and invest in finding new travel groups.

Led by COO Cleo Battle, Louisville Tourism designed "In the Ring" as a virtual prelude to the African American Travel Conference, which will be held in Louisville March 30-April 1.

The travel shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a number of group travel leaders contacting The Group Travel Family with concerns that their groups are being negatively affected by the loss of human interaction.

Delegates at the recent Select Traveler Conference reported that it met or exceeded their expectations, with an 89% approval rating, the highest rating in the company's history.

"We feel it is important to keep the spirit of people traveling together alive," said Charlie Presley, founder of The Group Travel Family. "That is the simple reason we operated Select Traveler Conference, Going On Faith and Small Market Meetings Conference."

Travel industry veteran Joseph Cappuzzello has been named to the position of service/safety director for the city of Salem, Ohio.

A group of travelers recently got back on the road to visit Lambeau Field and other sites around Green Bay, Wisconsin.
